Life had become one big puzzle for Tess Valentine. She was happy in her life, working as a junior creative in a London advertising agency and living at home with her mother and stepfather. But after receiving a letter from a lawyer in California, informing her that her biological father has died, she makes her first transatlantic flight to settle what remains of Robert Valentine’s estate.
